The Pombaline Style Charm
The Pombaline buildings tell the story of a time. Originally built in the 18th century, some of them were rehabilitated in the 1990s by the renowned architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, following the burning of the famous Chiado warehouses in 1988. Preserving and respecting the characteristics of the time, the reconstruction of the Vítor Cordon 38 building maintains its elegant nineteenth-century façade combining it with a contemporary style.
